Verizon now offers Internet Protocol Routing Service
(IP Routing Service or IPRS), a reliable, low-cost access service for
Internet service providers (ISPs) and businesses.
IP Routing Service supports analog dial-up, Integrated Services Digital
Network (ISDN), and various dedicated access methods for
transparent connectivity from the end user to the ISP or
enterprise network. IPRS enables customers to build virtual
private networks (VPN) and/or virtual private dial networks
(VPDN). This web site introduces IP Routing Service and
the underlying technology, and discusses the value of IPRS
to the service provider or enterprise.
